- to inspire world leaders to undertake the planting of a billion or more trees
- to inspire the world’s population to recurrently plant a minimum of one tree per year

Message from the President

It’s a vision; it’s a decision to act;

It is a call to our fellow citizens of Quebec and the world.

The founders of Trees on Earth imagine a world of citizens who plant trees in a mindful and recurrent manner. We imagine seven million people each planting one tree every year. We imagine 7 billion new trees in one year’s time, 70 billion in 10 years and 140 billion in 20 years. We imagine all of these trees, these CO2 absorbers, naturally regulating the Greenhouse Gas Effect. We imagine these trees creating shade and naturally protecting us from the burning sun. We imagine these trees as structures protecting us from the wind. We imagine the deceleration of desertification. We imagine plenty of food for everyone, we imagine a planet with clean air, we imagine...

Trees on Earth encourages you to engage in an act of love by promising to plant a tree in 2010.

Planting a tree is an act of love.

Regards,

Serge Desjarlais
